a hunger for beauty

Life takes you on a journey and often, you are not certain what the outcome may be. I have learned to occasionally look back at the past so that I could use those experiences to enhance and create a more pleasurable future. I promise myself to never wish or desire to return to the past when the present becomes too difficult, hopelessly daydream about the future when the present seems too boring, or prevent myself from accomplishing things in the present that will reap benefits in the future. In addition, I plan to love those in my life honestly, enjoy food from different cultures, find a reason to smile even when there is pain, embrace photography and explore the world around me with unveiled eyes. Sometimes my blog will contain artworks or graffiti that are not my own. I do not claim any rights for these works, and if I fail to credit them that is because I do not know the source. On the other hand, I will also post up some of my own artworks and will state that they are my own original pieces. This blog documents and filters my daily experiences and my current pleasures and hunger for all things beautiful.
While I was walking through Union Square, I came across a man who was selling these spray painted New York City maps that displayed our popular logos. Naturally, I had to capture this very simple moment with my camera. Thankfully, the man posed for me and tried to look as “normal” as possible. He was born to be a model.
